Hot Wheels® Turbolence™ "Dayla Special" (+ Custom made Engine and Interior)
Another recreation of an original design by Hot Wheels.
I'm not, in anyway, affiliated to Hot Wheels or Mattel, although I'm a huge fan of Hot Wheels and their unique vehicles.
This time I decided to reproduce the fast going, streamlined Turbolence, designed by Phil Riehlman.
The vehicle is a perfect homage to the crazy record breaking, high speed cars for the early 50s.
Since the miniature Hot Wheels car is somewhat limited in terms of details, I decided to create from scratch a somewhat accurate interior and engine...giving it the V12 Twin Turbo powerhouse this car truly deserves.
Render of the car on the famous Bonneville Salt Flats, the only place where this car would feel right at home.

Went with a "worn look", making it look that this car has seen quite a lot of high-speed action
All the smudges, dings and scratches gives the vehicle personality and a story.

The heart of the Turbolence, a V12 with two giant turbos. I'm not sure if the original idea of the car was to be Twin Turbo, but with a name like TURBOlence, how could you resist?
